Atopic Dermatitis or Eczema

Atopic Dermatitis or Eczema

There are many kinds of skin disorders that might disrupt your life. Despite the fact that every skin illness has the potential to ruin anyone's life, the conditions that also afflict children exacerbate the problem. Eczema (atopic dermatitis), is one of these disorders. Severe itch and flaky skin are both side effects of this illness. Inflammation is an additional response to itching.

CAUSES OF ATOPIC DERMATITIS OR ECZEMA

Modern science shows that changes in the genes are responsible for eczema. The ability of the skin to defend is consequently impacted. It causes a weaker barrier function, which reduces the skin's capacity to retain moisture and defend against bacteria, irritants, allergies, and environmental influences like smoke or cigarettes.

In other instances, in which there are no gene mutations, this illness develops as a result of an excessive buildup of microorganisms on the skin. in particular, staphylococcus aureus. This bacteria interferes with the function of the skin barrier and displaces helpful microbes on the skin. Another factor contributing to this is a generally compromised function of the skin's barrier, which sets off an immunological response that leads to skin inflammation. The illness is not spread by others.

If this ailment is viewed from the perspective of Ayurveda, it develops as a result of poor diet and lifestyle choices, and in children, it develops as a result of beej dushti kar bhava. In Ayurveda, it is referred to as vicharchika and is caused by poor digestion and an aggravated pitta dosha.
