Bhibitaki Tablets (Terminalia bellirica): Ayurvedic Support for Respiratory Wellness, Digestion, Skin & Overall Rejuvenation
90 Tablets (900 mg) | Traditional Ayurvedic Herbal Formula
Also known as: Behada / Baheda / Vibhitaka / Bahera / Aksha / Karshphal / Belleric Myrobalan

The name itself tells you everything. Bibhitaki means "the one who keeps you away from disease," literally fearless of all diseases. That is not a small claim for a small fruit. But after thousands of years of continuous Ayurvedic use across India and Southeast Asia, Bhibitaki has more than earned that reputation.

Bhibitaki (Terminalia bellirica) is one of the three fruits in Ayurveda's renowned formula Triphala and one of the best herbs for balancing Kapha dosha. As such, it is especially helpful in supporting the organs and tissues where Kapha tends to accumulate, including the lungs, liver, and urinary tract, as well as the sinuses, ears, eyes, and throat.

It is one of the rarest yet most popular Ayurvedic medicines for several problems relating to the throat and the respiratory system. This sweet-tasting miracle remedy naturally supports the healing of sore throats, coughs, and colds and even helps in the herbal treatment of skin allergies and constipation.

In ancient Ayurvedic texts such as the Charaka Samhita (circa 2nd century CE) and Sushruta Samhita, Terminalia bellirica is named "Vibhitaka" or "Bhibitaki" and was prized for balancing Vata and Kapha doshas, praised for alleviating cough, promoting healthy bowel movements, and enhancing voice clarity.

Why Bhibitaki Tablets?
Bibhitaki is a potent astringent and tonifying herb for the body's mucous membranes. The astringent qualities of this plant make it effective at drying and removing excessive levels of congestive mucus or fluid build-up present within the body. Herbal Reality

Bhibitaki has been used in Ayurveda for ages to support digestive comfort because it boosts bile secretion by the liver, which acts on peristaltic movements of the intestine. Due to its laxative properties, it reduces excessive mucus as well as fat content in the stools, preventing them from sticking to the intestinal wall and allowing easy movement for eliminating them from the body.

What makes Bhibitaki particularly special is its breadth. A useful remedy for hair loss, cardiovascular ailments, and respiratory wellness, this herb is also known to help as a natural sedative for those experiencing sleeping difficulties. In due course, patients begin to see a tremendous amount of change in their health condition with this herbal formulation.

Bhibitaki & The Famous Triphala Connection: Bhibitaki is one of the three fruits of the classical Ayurvedic formula Triphala, alongside Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) and Amalaki (Phyllanthus emblica). In Triphala, each fruit addresses a different dosha: Haritaki for Vata, Bhibitaki for Kapha, and Amalaki for Pitta.

Bhibitaki is effective in nourishing the dhatus of the body and in pacifying Tridosha. The use of Bhibitaki in Triphala aids in providing support for several issues, such as indigestion, gas, asthma, nausea, weight management, stomach comfort, and skin wellness.

Bhibitaki: The Fearless Tree
Bhibitaki is a medium-sized deciduous tree that grows up to 20-25 meters in height, with glabrous bark that peels away in patches. Leaves are oblong-lanceolate, measuring 7–12 cm long, turning yellowish before shedding. The fruit is ovoid, 2-3 cm wide, and shifts from green to light brown when ripe.

Although all the parts of the Bhibitaki tree, such as roots, leaves, and oils, are used for medicinal properties, its fruit is considered most beneficial for healing. The fruit pericarp, the fleshy outer layer of the fruit, is the part traditionally used and standardized in Ayurvedic formulations.
