Licorice/ Yastimadhu Tablet (Glycyrrhiza Glabra) - 60 Tablets

Licorice Root / Yashtimadhu Tablets (Glycyrrhiza glabra) 60 Tablets: Ayurvedic Digestive, Stomach & Daily Wellness Support
60 Tablets | 500 mg Each | Also known as Yashtimadhu, Mulethi, Sweet Root, and Licorice Root

Yashtimadhu is one of Ayurveda’s classic soothing and rejuvenating gut herbs. Its naturally sweet, cooling root has been used for centuries to calm Pitta, comfort the stomach lining, and support clear, steady digestion, while gently nourishing overall vitality.

Ayumantra Licorice Root Tablets provide premium‑quality Glycyrrhiza glabra extract in a simple daily dose for people who want reliable support for digestive comfort, healthy Agni, liver and bile function, and everyday wellness as part of an Ayurvedic routine.

Licorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra), known in Ayurveda as Yashtimadhu or Mulethi, is praised for its unique blend of sweet taste, cooling potency, and mucosal protection. Classical and modern sources describe it as especially helpful in Amlapitta (gastritis, acid reflux), peptic ulcers, indigestion, and burning sensations, where it soothes inflamed mucosa and lowers excess acid.

Traditionally and in modern practice, Yashtimadhu is used to:

• Soothe stomach lining and upper GI mucosa, reducing discomfort from acid and irritation
• Support balanced Agni, strong enough to digest food, but not so hot that it burns tissues
• Help manage heartburn, gastritis, peptic ulcers, and indigestion, alongside appropriate diet
• Contribute to respiratory and immune wellness (sore throat, cough, bronchitis) as a secondary benefit, thanks to its expectorant and soothing properties

As a Rasayana, Yashtimadhu is also considered helpful for overall strength, immunity, and calm resilience, making it a versatile herb beyond digestion.

Ayurvedic properties
Based on classical Ayurvedic profiles of Yashtimadhu / Mulethi:

• Rasa (Taste): Madhura (Sweet)
• Guna (Qualities): Guru (Heavy), Snigdha (Unctuous)
• Veerya (Potency): Sheeta (Cooling)
• Vipaka (Post‑digestive effect): Madhura (Sweet)
• Dosha action: Pacifies Pitta and Vata, and may increase Kapha if overused or in Kapha‑dominant constitutions
• Ayurvedic classification: Rasayana (rejuvenating herb); Kshataksaya‑hara (soothing to tissue injury, especially mucosa)

This sweet, cooling, unctuous profile explains why Yashtimadhu is so commonly chosen for “too much fire” in the gut and chest, yet still supports digestion rather than weakening it.

Ingredient:
Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra) extract

Dosage:

• Take 1-2 tablets once or twice daily, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
• Many protocols use Yashtimadhu before or after meals, depending on the emphasis either on lining protection or digestion support.
• For chronic acidity or gastritis, consistent use with dietary and lifestyle changes tends to be more effective than occasional dosing.

Because licorice can affect blood pressure and electrolyte balance in higher or prolonged doses, long‑term use should be supervised.

Key Benefits:

• Balances Pitta dosha to support digestive comfort in acidity, heartburn, and heat‑dominant patterns
• Supports the natural protective function of the stomach lining, helping defend against acid and irritants
• Helps maintain healthy digestion and Agni (digestive fire) without excess heat, especially in sensitive stomachs
• Supports healthy liver function and digestive wellness as part of broader metabolic care
• Traditionally used as a Rasayana herb to nourish tissues, support resilience, and promote long‑term wellness
