Bilvadi Oil

Bilva fruit processed in sesame oil is used to create this herbal oil. This infusion contains water- and oil-soluble phytochemicals that help the hearing apparatus recover and function properly. Astringent tastes, or bilwa kashaya, aid in ear canal strengthening and inflammation reduction.

Ingredients :

• Bilva (Aegle marmelos)
• Ajaksheera (Goat's milk)
• Sesame oil

Directions of use :
2-3 drops in each ear instilled. or as directed by a physician.

Indications :

• In case of a headache due to ear pain, this oil can be applied over the forehead and temporal areas of the head.
• Bilwa helps in balancing vata dosha in the body thus mitigating pain in the head and ear, around the ear.
• Tinnitus.
• Bilwa taila is used for an Ayurvedic Panchakarma procedure called Karnapoorana wherein inflammation of the hearing apparatus and external auditory canal is managed.
• Bilwa taila helps maintain balance and mitigates tinnitus.

Contra-indication :

Avoid in cases of acute ASOM and ear perforation.
