This plant has richly veined, ovate leaves. Below, the leaves are a dark green tint. Small, yellowish to white, and odorless, the flowers of this plant typically grow in bunches. The fruit has an oval form and is dark purple in color. It contains seeds. The tree also has berries that are deep purple. Younger trees have smooth, pale bark, and elder trees have brittle, rough, and dark bark.


After the tree reaches the age of six or seven, the bark is peeled off and used to make cinnamon sticks. The tree's inner bark is harvested and utilized as a spice. It is typically pounded into a powder, and the tree's leaves and bark have a pleasant scent.


General Description

A typical aromatic spice with beneficial therapeutic effects is "dalchini" or cinnamon. In truth, cinnamon is the dried, tan inner bark of the cinnamon tree. A fragrant essential oil that makes about 0.5% to 1% of Dalchini's makeup is responsible for its flavor. Dalchini can be used to make essential oil.

Habitat
